When I take the cable directly into the modem, then into my computer, it will not disconnect. Well, I had to get a router so that the cable would be upstairs, and down, but now the router always messes up. When I have the router on , everyone once in a while it will disconnect for like 3-5 mins. It doesnt just happen, but all the time, and it drives me insane. Its Charter Digital Cable, a linksys router, and a weststar moden I belive. If you could help me at all, plz do =] 8O

Penguin - if you could explain your problem a little bit better, I could probably give some advice. But right now -- I right now, I am reading your post and it is just confusing.
Make more concrete sentences and give some detail 8)
heh. It helps, really.
Liquor_Riss - I don't think threeboy would care about that....

i do care about swearing in sigs.. sprinkled throughout posts swearing is alright, but not in permanent parts, such as your sig, avatar, location, etc...

check if your linksys is running the latest firmware and just go through your router config and make sure all the settings are cool
networking can get to be very complex and a real pain in the arse at times
btw do you have a 802.11 wireless network?
