Ok so I figured out Nero can burn a video cd from a normal avi file. That means my dvd player for my tv could play a video that I burned. One problem, the video cd's need like 1 gig to burn onto and apparently Nero doesnt support burning over multiple cds. Does anyone wanna suggest to me a) some video editing software that I could use to chop a movie in half or b) a program that lets me burn over multiple cds?

You can burn V-CDs with nero. I have done it before. (I.E. you can use a normal CD, I know you can)

So do I, thats not what the post was about. Its just that I have a very good quality avi file (600 mb) and when Nero converts that to a V-CD file its a gigabyte big. So I need to know how I can a) downsize the file to fit a cd b) chop the file in half or b) burn it over multiple cds.

Ohhhhhhh. OK
You should of said that bud :P
hmm. I know Microsoft XP actually comes with some cheap video editing software, maybe you can splice the video up with that? :?
That is the best thing I can come up with. Other than that, you probably would have to get some good editing software that allows you to split up video formats.

I found this program on download.com called "Ez video splitter"
It's quite aptly named cause it is an easy video splitter
