First of all, about my last post, Liquor_Riss, you had the right idea. Thanks :D.

Anyway, I've been looking over webpages tags and whatnot and I've noticed the crispness of the text and the images. When I take a pic down in photoshop say to 128x80 all my image especially my text becomes super grainy and simplified. What I really want to know is how to keep the text nice enough to read... Thanks again for helping me on the last post.

;) No problem mate :P

If you want to have a good looking font that you can read you should get either a pixel font or a font made for the web. A good pixel font which I use often is 04b_21 (http://www.dafont.com/dl.php?os=win&fichier=04b_21), best used at 6px. (If that download link doesn't work go here (http://www.dafont.com/en/bitmap.php) and use the download link manually). If you don't want to use a pixel font but instead use a "normal" font, the ones optimized for the web are knowns as sans-serif, a good example is Verdana. Hope this helps!

Edit: This (http://www.pegaweb.com/tutorials/contrast-font-style/contrast-font-style.htm) is a good tutorial on how to make your text stand out from an image :)

Another Edit: Shouldn't this thread be in Creativity (http://www.threeboy.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=9) or Questions & Answers (http://www.threeboy.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=8)?

Alot, as usual :D
I thought by now I would have figured it out, but still my tags are very pixelated when I have to take them down to 128x80 in PS. Sharpen doesnt help (obviously) but my fonts look better :D

Do you think you can send me the spray image file so I can try and spank it into shape?

Edit: I don't think Angelfire does remote hosting so you should post a link to the image instead of the image itself.

they look more stretched depending on the surface you spray them on.. when a map is made, you can stretch the texture on an object to whatever you want.. so when someone sprays a logo on it, it has to conform to different dimensions and so forth.. so say a normal texture size in worldcraft is 75x75 and to fit a whole surface the guy stretches it to make it 100x100 or something.. your logo will look way stretched.. same way if it gets smaller.. normally it isn't necessary really to stretch textures if they repeat well, but sometimes you have to

128x64 & 64x128 are the "special" spray sizes that don't come out blurry.

It can also be the font too. Keep it simple.

Yeh its annoying when you spray your tag on a wall or something and half of it gets chopped off because of the texture not being big enough.
