Guestbook

I have no idea at all how i would go about this, ive looked about and all i can find are stupid things you sign up to. What i want is just a simple guestbook that i can fit into my site design, i know nothing about php or mysql so what i really want is a html code that saves enteries in a text file, i dont actually know if thats possible as i'm pretty new to html, but if it is can anyone help me with this?

HTML itself can't write to a text file, you'd have to use something like php to do it. Liquor's right, just find a script that already does it and mess around with that.
