Counter Strike in a window.

Hey I'm new.

But anyways I have a question no one has been able to answer. I was wondering if anyone knew/knows how to make Counter Strike not full screen but in a window; like Quake,Unreal Tournament & 2003?

Ya, I was pretty vague before because I wasn't sure that it'd work. Ok. Right click on the shortcut that goes to either CS or HL. Go to the shortcut tab (if it's not already there). Next to "Target:" it should have the shortcut to the game executable (ex. it has (with the quotes) "C:\Program Files\Medal of Honor\MOHAA.exe" for my Medal of Honor shortcut). Space after the " and type in -win then press ok at the bottom of the window. Try and start it up, then come back and tell me if it worked. :)

Do the graphics run better when it's in a window?

Uhmm how come I can't chang it back to console mode? It won't go back.

Also the graphics will run better but the screen is like 380x420

You gotta set the res higher once in window mode, I suppose. To get the console back, go in the CS folder, open cs.cfg (or something like that) find the line with Console and change the "0" to "1".

lol, its really easy to fix.

Go into the game.
Enter "configuration" > "Video: > "Video Modes"
On the bottom there should be a checked box called "Run in a window".
Uncheck that box.

Aight i did the -window command in the shotcut target, but...

How do i get fullscreen back? This is Counter-Strike 1.5, i can not find the "check box" to uncheck window mode or whatever. Erm, I tried removing the -window command from the target but that didnt work. Alright, so how do i get fullscreen back?

Once you add the window to your command line u have to add -full to make it full screen. I like using windows when i wana chat and play cs. alt -tab works.

Or just not play CS, therefore u dont need to use alt+tab ;)
