Forum Problem - Newest Posts / Lost Cookies?

Somtimes I see new posts but when I click "newest posts" it says there are none and all the 'unread' posts get reset.

Anyone else experience this?

That happens to me if I start loading the forum and switch to another tab mid-load, find something really interesting in that other tab and don't remember the forums until half an hour later. I assume it has something to do with the cookie expiring. =/

Internet Explorer, and nope, it was instantly. Of course when a certain laps of time is reached, there won't be any "new" post appearing as "new" if the page is refreshed. It's been like that for years.

im gonna try to enable the database forum/thread read option.

Disable that option NOW, it fucks up the forums badly.

it fucks them up at first - seems fine now; just 'mark all forums as read' and it'll be fine next time you load them up.

the old method was cookie based, the new option is database based.

change is somtimes good :p
