Forums are BACK!

After much stress the forums are back.

Here's the story from my post @ the TrueNuff forums.

what a goddamn week.

my computers died, defective memory module on my laptop & I tried to upgrade to windows xp x64 on my desktop (BAD MOVE, BAD TIMING). I'm getting the memory module for laptop replaced under warranty through www.sinsystems.ca (http://www.sinsystems.ca/) - and i went back to standard windows xp pro on my workbox and got everything up and running.

cdm (old web host) died and didn't say shit other than "we had hardware failures" - they're still not back up, we barely got our sql (required for the forums, blog etc) but there were massive errors.

our videos fucking EXPLODE on youtube so we scrambled to get the site back up by signing up with www.mediatemple.net (http://www.mediatemple.net/) - we got truenuff tv! up as it's the only site that's static and doenst rely on php/sql.

we find out media temple won't support vbulletin for 2-3 months so we couldn't put up the forums.

chris (good guy) from www.tribunehosting.com (http://www.tribunehosting.com/) says he can host our forums for us for 2-3 months while media temple gets up to speed.

we try to restore the forums, but there were errors in the SQL (mentioned above) - with help and insight from THE ROB I was able to figure out what the frick was wrong and get these bitches back up on the web.

Hosting cost me a couple hundred bucks, and the forums cost thirty to re-new.

I should try to make money on these sites again - to subsidize.

I think we must have lost some members or something because this place doesn't seem as lively post-crash. ;_;

i sent out an email thru the forums - some people don't have up-to-date emails in their accounts so they didn't get notification.

I'm about to send an email over the CS & Desktop newsletters though so hopefully those will boost activity.
