I know this is a dumb question...but how do you make one of those snazzy banners (Like Shamus's) for like signatures that has your name in it or whatever?

Photoshop. And 'round these parts we call them signatures (or sigs, for short). :p

once you hve made it you go into your 'edit signature' in your cp and add the image. :D

it fits within the max sig size, so it's alright for these forums :)

Some hints for a "snazzy cool one" (in my eyes)
Find a picture that you like, and that can be cropped into something (thin, and relatively (to height) long) and then edit it with photoshop to your personal taste, and add your name in fitting typography. Or just design yourself a recognizable logo, rather than something that looks "cool."

personally, i dotn like them that much, i think an avatar (even though limited in size) is all i need. The sigs clutter up the pages and distract the eyes.
