hey guys im a newb, and i need help installin cs on my comp... whenever i open the folder and i click on "cstrike", its just the logo. then it says looking for hl.exe, what is that, like a patch? guys plz help

i bought and installed half life, so when it says looking for hl.exe, i show it where it is, and then when i do open up cs, it brings up half life! so then i go to custom game, and hit refresh and blah blah and cs doesnt show up!:x:?::?::?:

ok...about a billion patches and junk later, i finally got a up-to-date half life. cs still doesnt work, but the gay games like ricichet work (TFC is cool)... so confused.. im gonna reinstall cs

Simple, install your HL, then download the patch(HL update), install this patch into your HL directory.
After you did this steps, download CS and install it into HL directory.
It's should work, yeah.
P.S
When you install cs, put it into the HL directory, don't do something else e.g.
c:\Seirra\Half-Life\Counter-Strike
Just choose your HL directory, c:\Seirra\Half-Life\ in the installation

Heres what you do. Unplug your computer, attach a chain to your computer and dunk it in the nearest river/bathtub. When you remove it from the water, your computer should be working fine. Good luck!
