if we find aliens then we gotta work out how to contact and communicate with them...

Or, maybe the conditions were just right here and we are all alone, i find that to be alot more comforting but I also suppose that if there is another civilization out there were probably a few billion years behind (dinosaur periods) or they know about us and dont feel like dealing.
