stop installing over old installs liquor - you're making it look like there's something wrong with znews. Apologies for my early morning foolishness, I always seem to update ZNews at inappropriate times :rolleyes: But now its all fixed up and feeling fine, so I think I'll make me a custom skin *g*

Edit: I have worked out the fix for the comments.php link problem.

Make sure comments.php is in your znews folder, then open up the copy of view.php which should be on your computer. Find this line of code if ($gvars[commenting]!="off") { $template=str_replace("[COMMENTSURL]", "comments.php?commentto=$post[id]", $template); }
and where it says "comments.php?commento=$post[id]" put znews/ in front so it should look like

if ($gvars[commenting]!="off") { $template=str_replace("[COMMENTSURL]", "znews/comments.php?commentto=$post[id]", $template); }


Then upload that copy of view.php to your server and voÃ*la!
Hope that was easy enough to understand :D

DO NOT do that - where you have "[COMMENTSURL]" in the template just make it "znews/[COMMENTSURL]".

Please don't edit the core code. If we aren't looking at the same files, i can't help you. :P

This isn't a bug to be fixed, it's something you should have read about in the readme. Kind of like how i said you can't install over other installs in the readme.... *g*
