I installed iTunes and imported my library like a good boy, and it decided to assign a folder structue and rename all my mp3s... which sucks. I've rectified the situation, but I did enjoy iTunes, anyone know a way to disable that kind of crap?

iTunes really rocks !!!!!
It's working with my iPod so I don't need any third party programs to rename my songs and upload them... HOORAY !

yeah theres a configure songs (or something like that) in one of the menu's with its options, just disable that and it should leave all your songs alone.

What?!?! I'm loving iTunes so far. It's not skinnable, but, other than that, I like it way more than Winamp.

Iron Maiden The Fallen Angel lyrics
Azazel is beside you and he's playing a game
Demons are inside you and they're making their play
Watching as they're hiding as they wait for the time
For a devil to get ready and take over your mind
You and only God would know what could be done
You and only God will know I am the only one
You and only God would know what could be done
You and only God will know I am the chosen one
Could it be it's the end of our world?
All the things that we cherish and love
Nothing left but to face this all on my own
'Cause I am the only one
Beaten fallen angel but I've risen again
And the power is inside me, I've decided to pray
As I wait for Armageddon and it's coming my way
I'ts a honour to be chosen and I wait for the day
You and only God would know what could be done
You and only God will know I am the only one
You and only God would know what could be done
You and only God will know I am the chosen one
Could it be it's the end of my world?
All the things that I cherish and love
Nothing left but to face this all on my own
'Cause I am the only one

iTunes is pretty sweet, but you can't minimize to the tray, and there's like nothing in the options menu. Winamp has like 9 pages of options, iTunes has about 4 options total. It's pretty awesome but it might take another release or two to overtake winamp in usability.

What features make it better than Winamp?
So far I have no interest in downloading it. . .and I doubt I will.

Well brentech was the one asking, and he lives in the US so I'm sure he'll be very pleased.

No. Not really, heh.
That's not exactly the type of feature that would get me to switch over. There would have to be a whole lot more too it.
I can pay for my mp3s through many sites already.

I just really like the way the library is set up.

yeah, the library is set up really well, and the way you make playlists and stuff is done well. My favorite feature is that I can share my library, so I can carry all my music around on my laptop, and then stream it from wherever.

The iPod interaction is king. It's a lot cleaner an interface than Winamp offered in my opinion. Also, I like the way the Visualizer doesn't lag... ever.
