Who ever voted to put rims on a standard civic (or any civic for that matter) is wrong. :?
It's just not that kind of car. A civic should stick to being a commuter car..use it as a car, not a racer.

Whoever would put rims on any automatic is an idiot. Im not planning on racing. Im upgrading the asthetics of the civic, not plannin on racing it.
Oh, and to be quite honest, I would much rather put money into a car than into a computer. Ya dig?
Furthermore, there are a ton of people who soup up their civics. 8)

I just think that 'fixing up' a car such as a civic, is pretty dumb. If you're going to put a few thousand more into a car, then why not just buy the next model car up.
I realize you inherited the car, but I just dont feel civics are worth doing a bunch to -- civics just arent cars i look at and think are cool --- ever.
It'd be different if it were an RSX and you wanted rims for it..because that is a sport car...

I have a car right now that is going to look nice and buying a new car would be a waste of money. I probably wouldnt be able to get the money for a newer or even nicer car for at least 10 years, and when I do, you can bet your ass its gonna be a wicked bmw.

Well - I mean, what I say is just an opinion.
And I don't know how old you are, but have you ever thought about saving the money. And just driving the car.
I mean, doing certain things to the car is fine..but rims is just one of those things I've never understood. Or lowering it, because generally you can't get into a driveway after that...or go over a speedbump.
I just think saving up the money for down the road..a nice car. It just makes more sense to me. There is a lot of things i wished i never spent money on...mainly everything in my car that was stolen...

Yeah, I hear ya. I'm only 16 though, so my other options for money is basically pot and junk food. I also think having like a long-term project would be something pretty cool. It'll fill up the hours of time that I have on my hands. I probably wont go very much further than asthetics because civics are gutless.

I'd have to agree that suping up economy cars is a waste of money. There is something to be said for improving the aesthetics of the car, but I think there's better things to spend money one. I'm 23 and I wish I'd had $4500 to save when I was 16. My brother has the mentality, "well, I don't have anything else to spend $$ on, it might as well go to something," but, from my experience, it is better to be a bit more farsighted.
I know the family situation (whether or not they'll help you through college or whatever) matters, but I'm just giving you my perspective :).

Yeah it probably is smarter in the long run for me to save my cash, but I've already committed myself, so I might as well make it respectable.

wtf? It makes no difference whether or not rims look cooler on an auotmatic or stick. Who's gonna know just by glancing at your car?
And if you're gonna put rims on it, you might as well go all out and do something like this (http://community.webshots.com/photo/57322052/57322402zJMvkv).

I'm just saying that if you would rather rice out an auto than a standard, you must have a mental deficiency. Just a slight exaggeration of that fact. Its all a matter of preference.
Man, you should get out more. Most nice cars on the road dont come outta the factory looking really nice. Some do, like bmw and mercedes, but not a lot of others.

Well, it depends on the intention. If you just wanna make your car look nice, put rims on it. Who cares what type of transmission it has? If you're trying to have a racing car (or at least something that looks liek one) and it's an automatic, you're really just a poser cuz noone races automatics...noone.
That pic? Well, that's just retarded! :D

Well there you have it. The same thing goes for an "economy" car as you call it. I just wanna make it look nice, and it's going to work. I'm not gonna race it.
