This is really cool, it's talkin about how they can manufacture diamonds real cheap. Theres something about a big british diamond company ive never heard of. The article itself is well presented as well. Enjoy.

I recently took a class on Sociology in the Media. It was a very interesting class, but there was a video we saw that is related to your post. Diamonds are not a rare resource at all. In fact, in some areas of Africa, you can find them on the ground. It is the intention of the diamond mining companies' advertising to make it look as if diamonds are rare without actually saying they are. The only reason diamonds are "rare" is because they aren't mined/gathered at the rate they would be if there were some competition.

And also in some parts of Africa where you can find diamonds things are a leetle dangerous :P

Yeah that's what I hear. Even tho I never heard of this Da Beers before.
