The music didn't sound too bad, but the recording quality was bad bad baaaaaaaaaad :o

That's what happens when you use scotch tape to tape the microphone that came with your sound card to your acoustic 12 string guitar in the wrong place on your guitar which has very poor resonance or whatever because the chord for your mic isn't long enough. That, and the sub-par default Sound Recorder that comes with windows. I can do slightly better now cuz I can actually plug in my electric to the mic input (still degraded quality) and then edit the sound with a new piece of sound recording/editing software called SoundForge. If you're into recording sounds on your computer, I HIGHLY recommend SoundForge. It's like the Photoshop of the sound recording world :D

Yup, its quite a useful piece of kit. You should hire out a recording studio for an hour or so, most are pretty cheap e.g. $33 Canadian an hour (British price converted) :)

Heh, I'm not good enough to actually record in a studio. But if I was, my friends dad has a production quality studio and it would probably be more along the lines of 0-15$ an hour. I dont know if you people know Jan Arden, but his dad used to play with her (upright bass) and now he teaches college-level music, and records/produces music to boot.

I'm hoping to get in some recording studio time myself this holiday as my uncle has a studio, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm gonna do....been trying to think up a catchy tune so I can take the Top 10 by storm :P
