On my laptop I have both a C: and D: hard drive. C: 13.9 GB D: 23.9 GB. I have almost used up the C drive, and I was curious, can i just save programs/music/etc on the D: and it work fine with all the other programs/music/etc on the C: drive?

It should. But sometimes programs or games make new command lines in the Windows Registery and can have problems after a format of Windows.

If you have dual harddrives then it should work fine...

Umm -- Being that it is a notebook computer, I very highly doubt that you have 2 harddrives inside of it.
More than likely, your vendor made your computer, and partioned a single drive.

I really don't think you can fit 2 harddrives inside of a laptop. But yes, you should be able to put whatever files you want onto the D drive without a problem. Being that it is partioned..your fine.

mmm, very good point. I wonder why they'd do that though? Is the laptop even new enough to have a ~37.8gb drive in it?

Unless it's a laptop that has an extension port on the bottom, that has had an extension placed in it. The 250mhz I had was like that.
