this is pretty gay. i downloaded steam 2.0 and its got 1.6 beta, and i tried to play and when i connect to game... it takes forever, and doesnt connect. someone help...any takers?

it's probably downloading updates.

be sure to connect on a 1.6 server...

You can't browse 1.5 servers with Steam.

Make sure you are not playing the game on 56k.
Hence the reason I barely ever play counter-strike any more.

the first time you go to play it has to dload 1.6........then you can play
