They have even been kind enough to modify it to support newer versions of Windows and faster computers.

awsome, its great when companies do this sort of thing. Wierd thing about ID, for a couple of months you could download full Quake1 but now you can only download the demo agian :s Wonder why they took it down

Yep, I said I was 21... It said that my request was accepted and that I should receive the email... 24 hours later, I still don't have it

Ahh yes I remember the days of the original GTA. Me and my brother would always get sick of the game and try to go the speed limit and obey all the laws for a little bit more fun.

I remember the days we were 30 in a LAN-ed room in a college, we were all playing GTA in LAN.. but the limit of players per game was 4.. that sucked :(

My comments on the game : I thought it would be like in Direct3D or something.. but no, it's still in software rendering... and my computer's so fast that the framerate is too god damn high, so I have to put the frame limiter on.. that sucks... because it's like 15 frames per seconds... and that's too much slow.

Anyway, I still have the original CD, well, my brother does... I'll see if I can play in LAN with him...

Ah well - still a great game but i wasnt to keen on the LAN games. I always found that you could never find other players in the city...

I had a copy of it, but it dosen't seem to work well with 2000. They seemed to fix it up with this version which was good.
