I just got my 128mb vid card, and I notice i still get a constant 60 fps on it. someone told me to diable the v-sync and now i went up to 72 fps. i have a better card than others that are getting 100 frames. plz help me. i must get 100 frames!!!!
the card is a GeForce 4 Ti 4400. PNY Tech
it might be your monitor.. ?

in the console, just type "fps_max 99" without the quotes.

wowzers. i was tryin every cammand i could think of. and that worked. thanks. but when i look at it, it just doesnt look like 100 frames even though it says, under net_graph 1, that it is.

Half-Life engine can't go further 100 fps..

Wow, that's weird. I tested it out and you're right, too. Even if you try and set the fps_max to something like "500" it sets it back to 101.. but you still can only get 100. 8O :?: Why is it like that?

perhaps they realize human eyes cant tell the difference past 60 or so :P
